Why local matters

Bluffs and gulches
Much of Tacoma sits on bluffs and beside gulches, where a back yard can end at a drop.
Wet winters
Most walls fail from water. From October to April the drainage behind a wall is doing its job.
Mixed soil
Puget Sound ground often layers slow-draining glacial till under looser soil, which is why we look before we design.
